I never do anything crazy with my hair, color wise, but I had an epiphany and finally put some color in it!

Caitlin Turpel at Salon Edge is the shiiiiiiiiiiiit! She wanted me to come in for some curls a few days later before I headed off to Orlando for Spring Break, and I said "uhh YES" -- I LOVE CURLS. CURL THAT SHIT UP

I walked by this shirt and retraced my steps to look at it again.

Janine, Jackie and I went to the Al Capone Dinner theater. For $30 we had an Italian buffet dinner, unlimited booze, and a not so great theater show. The female performers had their tiny mics taped to their face! Scotch tape style! We had fun though.

A candle in Kiersten's italian ice has become a tradition for her birthday. Rita's is so refreshing and delicious. It might not be the most authentic "Italian Ice" but it is always yummy.

Friday night was Stacie's birthday dinner/club night. We went to Club Play in Miami and the whole experience felt like a rap music video. Stacie's sister's friend's girlfriend....SOMEBODY got us on a list, passed people in line, we got VIP wristbands and had bottle service for a South Beach club. shit was dope. I never go to clubs like that, so it was a treat. The hoes dancing on poles were impressive-- all white girls too!

I recently bought some of the Katy Perry x OPI nail polish collab.

After research with Kiersten, we decided on getting Not Like The Movies (intergalactic silver/purple/green), Black Shatter, and Teenage Dream (glittery pink happiness). The other colors in the collection were just okay, but these were the ones that we were hyped on. Since they are limited edition colors they sell out fast at the salons, but we got'em, and we looooooooove'em!!

Kiersten was under the weather this past week, and didn't have much of an appetite, but you gotta eat when you're sick!! Or else you die. So I made sure she ate, and we had Yogurtland one night, sushi another night, and then veggie burgers another day.

The Thai/sushi place we went to on Friday night had a bulky yet awesome menu cover.

I saw these black matte nails on Uhnet's blog and was inspired! I don't have any polish to do a pink matte, but the style is cool. I think so at least. I sent a picture of my nails to my sister and she said "I like it if your name was shiqwanda" :(

Jessica borrowed my dainty pink and got her nails done. The pinkies cost $10 each!! I can get rhinestones and do that for myself for free. Looks cool though!

The Used played at the South Florida Fair on Wednesday. Sabine and I saw them many times during high school days. It was Fallon's first time seeing them!

We got sucked into this!! We thought that no way is it possible someone is so small!! But it turns out to be a little person. Like Mini Me's size. BUT WE WEREN'T EXPECTING TO SEE A REAL/LIVING PERSON. So she kind of scared us, and there we are, the 3 of us staring at "Lolene" and out of the need to say something in the situation I asked "Is your name really Lolene?", she said "yes" and I said "That's cool, welp, see ya" and we left. Then we couldn't believe we just spent $1 to look at someone's small body.

When I first saw Kelly Osbourne's transformation pictures, I couldn't believe it, and I was sosososo happy for her.

I came up with this "If Kelly Osbourne can do it, I can do it too" mentality. Granted, I don't have the money for a personal trainer or a perfect diet, and let's be honest here, I love to eat, there's no way around that---but I know that if I exercise, I can get into great shape. No one should be overweight in their 20's, I need to change this for myself. I'll be fat when I'm older, but for now while my metabolism is good, I need to look awesome. I'm not like a disgustingly heavy girl, but I'm thick enough to where I know that if I lost 30 pounds I'd look dope. So I've started the workout process and will be back in a sexy bod by my 23rd birthday (in June). I can do ittt!!! Watch me do itttttttttt.

Today after work, I went to my school's gym (Last semester of college, last free college gym membership hello!) and worked out for an hour. Baby steps. Elena and I are going to do some workout classes during the week for funsies and to not be fatties. A new Felicia is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND SHE LOOKS HOT

I had lunch with Ileana last week and I asked her 1000 questions about everything in her life. When she goes to Stir Crazy and creates her own meal, she doesn't get any vegetables, but grabs a few pineapples to eat while she waits in line. I'm always curious by picky-eaters, why they are the way they are, why they hate such delicious vegetables and foods, but still respect them and their decisions. She will be in my People section in a few weeks :)

Ileana is doing a semester abroad in Prague. PRAGUE. THE CZECH REPUBLIC. According to her and wikipedia, there are NYU campuses in London, Paris, Florence, Madrid, Berlin, Accra, Shanghai, Buenos Aires, Tel Aviv and Singapore, and homegirl picks PRAGUE! Those are all amazing cities in amazing countries, but Prague seems the most mysterious to me, and she picked it because it seems to be the most authentically set in their own time and country feel. I guess I should mention that at the young age of 19, she's already a seasoned world traveller with a few countries under her residency belt and probably has an impressive passport.

Friday night Saving Abel played at the South Florida Fair. I covered the show for the Capitol Street Team, and when picking up my credentials learned I have a new last name.

Kiersten told me that if she wasn't a vegetarian, the first thing she would eat at the fair is a DONUT BURGER. I am not a vegetarian, and I do not want to eat a donut burger, because I want to live and not die.

She swears by the fried pickles, and after trying them, I agree that they are awesome.

We came across a candy buffet, where I stocked up on Vanilla Flavored Tootsie Rolls and saw weird candies like gummi fried eggs and baby face tears.

When an Old Town photo spot is found, it's not a question of IF we should do it, but how much is it and how long is the wait because OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE GOING TO DO IT.

I rang in the new year with a beach day with my sister. She was home for 3 weeks, and we haven't had 3 weeks together in YEARS.

One of the perks of being back in South Florida is quality time with Kiersten and Eric! I watched BRONSON with Eric on netflix, and then the next night saw COUNTRY STRONG in theaters with Kiersten.

Both movies were dope. I have a weird crush on Tim Mcgraw and love his acting. Tom Hardy is a babe, oddly in Bronson, and absolutely in Inception.

Casey Jones and Comeback Kid played on Thursday night in Pompano Beach. Comeback Kid is one of my favorite hardcore bands, and I am super pumped anytime I get to see them. I first heard CBK in 2005, so whenever I see them live I mentally morph into a giddy 16yr old.

Unfortunately I don't have any people for 2010, but I wanted to come back strong for 2011! The reason there are none in 2008 and 2010 is that I simply forget when I'm in social settings or meeting new people. I'm making it a goal of mine to remember to keep up with it this year. When I was in Connecticut, my cousin Jenny and I came across this silly store with mermaids and mermen on a wall. I bought Eric & Kiersten these ornaments as part of their wedding gift. There was a bride and groom mercouple but the groom had black hair and didn't look like Eric at all. Luckily the western couple look EXACTLY like Mr and Mrs Juice. I was pleased to see them hanging on their tree, up in the front for all to see.

Christmas party #4 was the annual Trim-the-Tree party at Marisa's house.

At one point Marisa was introducing us to some of her coworkers and we were standing in a Janine-Felicia-Kiersten order, and the dude referred us to as "JFK" and our heads exploded with how awesome that was and how we didn't think of that before. That may or may not evolve into a BFF NFG JFK tattoo idea one day...

Wednesday was the company Christmas party!

It was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood. There was a mashed potato bar where they serve you with mashed potatoes in a martini glass and all sorts of bowls with bacon, cheese, sour cream, ANYTHING YOU WANT.

There was a mini casino where I learned how to play CRAPS. I played it for maybe 2 hours. I got addicted with fake money, can't wait to play with real money!

My internship is almost over, and so is my time in California. I've started the goodbye process this past weekend in Long Beach! Tony's birthday was Friday night and celebrated with a bar crawl. I had a chocolate cake shot and that shit blew my mind! I've had a gummy bear shot before, and since then any food-tasting shot I AM GAME FOR. After a brief discussion with Danny, there are oatmeal cookie shots, washington apple shots, peanut butter and jelly shots, and a pancake and maple syrup shot?? I'm not even trying to get wasted here, I just want to try liquors that when combined confuse my taste buds.

On Saturday we went to Kabob Curry for lunch, and stumbled upon their lunch buffet!! I haven't had an Indian lunch buffet in a while so I was pumped. They had the sweet balls in the dessert area and after telling Danny they are good, he tried one!

They are actually called gulab jamun, but I know them as sweet balls. He liked it!

I love reading Missed Connections on Craigslist. Not because I'm a creeper who really wishes to find someone who had googly eyes for me, but because people write the best things!!!!! This Reckless Tortuga video is A++

When it comes to Christmas presents, I'm pretty low key with what I want. Reaching for the stars (designer bags) is silly. When put on the spot I can never think of things I want, so I've been making a Christmas list of small things gradually.

It's basically things I'll buy for myself later on. I'm also on the lookout for a really good volumizing mascara and red lipstick. Any suggestions will be GREAT! The American Apparel nylon tricot leggings are $34, and I don't want to pay $34 for leggings. HOPE SANTA PULLS THROUGH.

Vinnie Caruana from The Movielife/I Am The Avalanche played a house show in Silverlake! It was absolutely fantastic. We were sitting down, and all I wanted to do was just get up and dance and finger point like a regular show, but it was acoustic...and I had to resist the urges.

My roommate does a lot of work with AFI Fest every year, and gets tickets to a lot of the screenings and special events. By the way, this is not my roommate, this is his classmate and my new friend Anissa!

After that was a "secret screening" aka advanced screening of "The Fighter" with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. It was a great movie! Mark Wahlberg came out and made a marky mark joke. I was in line buying chips, I turn around and see Rob Huebel! I did the approving finger shake at him and said "You're a funny guy."

There was a free screening of Morning Glory and AC Slater was there filming a segment with Natasha Bedingfield. I don't know much about her music, except for what the media uses, so I really wanted to hear "pocket full of sunshine" --which she didn't sing. BUT she did sing the song from "The Hills" aka "unwritten" aka the hype music for LC and Audrina.

They gave us this bag of goodies! The movie itself was okay, I wouldn't run out to go watch it. It's more of a "oh it's finally on HBO, I will watch it now" movie. The truth hurts sometimes.

I stopped by The Hundreds to see if any secret girls line popped up...still nothing.

My kickball league had the end of season party. Keep in mind there are like maybe 250 people who play on 12 teams, the venue of the party was the private room of a bar upstairs on Sunset blvd...IT WAS TINY. Very poorly planned, not much walking space, fire hazard if you will, and I actually gave up my drink tickets to someone because there was 1 bartender and it took forever to get a shitty beer and we decided to leave. HOWEVER, Snap Yourself was there and we got down with that.

I've known about the "Amelie" movie for years, but just never got around to watching it. My roommate had it in his DVD collection (which afterwards saw it on Netflix instant queue) and I watched it and LOVED IT. It was the first time I teared up because the movie was so beautiful. AND that has never happened before. ever. I only cry at sad shit. Anyways, the part where she says things she likes and cracking creme brulee is one of my favorite things too!! My sister and I love love love creme brulee, and that is seriously one of the best parts. Whenever I go to Epcot France I get creme brulee. Mmmmmmm

I took a 1.5 hour Virgin America flight to San Francisco to visit with my family.

We ate a bomb crab dinner at The Franciscan,

where Alcatraz was visible from our dinner table.

Walking through the city I noticed the Martin Lawrence gallery from a distance. Immediately I thought "daaaaang Martin Lawrence is cultured!" specifically because the Martin show was one of my favorite shows growing up.. alas, it is a different Martin Lawrence.

My sister scooped up $12 tix for the san francisco youth symphony.

I got my hair TRIMMED in China Town. It's rare for me to cut my mermaid hair, I guess every 2 years seems to be the current hair cut frequency. The stylist's name was Pauline, and she spoke very VERY limited English, leading me to believe that her name is not actually Pauline. She was nice and at one point, she pointed to the supremely old guy getting his hair cut next to mine and said "99" ... how crazy! I was sitting next to a 99 year old man, who by the way got his hair dyed super black and also trimmed. Amazing.

From someone who buys a lot of postcards, seeing 7 for 99c is A GREAT DEAL!

Good Charlotte came by the office on Thursday, and Grace and I did a little interview for the street team.

Later that night was a free show at the Universal Hollywood City Walk. They played so many songs from 2000-2002, and I was going apeshit. I couldn't believe the lyrics were just coming back from my memory bank.

On Friday I saw a dude in all black on his bmx bike pedaling towards me. I smile at him because I know this dude from somewhere, and he smiles back and pedals away. I realize it's Rick Thorne and laugh to myself because Los Angeles is a crazy place to live.

If 10, nay, 5 years ago you told me that you could see a celebrity, tweet at them, and they would respond back to you within an hour, I'd say you're out of your mind. THE INTERNET AMAZES ME. It really does. I'm not like a huge bmx fan or sports fan, but I'm super good at recognizing random people and seeing Rick Thorne was awesome.

Saturday morning I volunteered with some of my Kickball team at the LA Food Bank. I thought we were going to feed the homeless, but we were in the sorting area and boxed up loaves of bread, squash and carrots. So many carrots, enough carrots that Bugs Bunny's head would explode if he saw it.

Afterwards we had Korean BBQ for lunch at Tahoe Galbi. It was my first time eating korean bbq and it was so much fun!!!!! Sidenote, kimchi is not for me.

I just got back from San Francisco today. I missed all the World Series games and had to check the scores on my phone. YAYAYAY for the Giants. I'm pretty happy for them, the city was buzzing in orange and black. My super ex-boyfriend is from Texas, and I was pretty happy to see them lose since I hate all things Texas!

On Thursday before I went to SF, I got advanced screening tix for the premiere of Due Date in Hollywood. I took my friend Tony and we laughed laughed laughed! It's a great movie, lots of outrageous moments. I saw Jaime Foxx and Dave Grohl in the theater with us. I never clap at the end of movies, and usually hate when people do because what's the point? But the actors were actually in the theater since it was the premiere, so I clapped. Pretty tight movie. A+++++++

After Due Date we saw fun. play at the Music Box down the street! This is the 2nd time this year I saw them live, and the show was great. Their guitar player is a babe.

I went to LACMA on Thursday (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). It's free after 5pm for Los Angeles county residents. The Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail, 1700-1915 Exhibition is doooooooope!

The Picasso exhibit is nice, so is the Jeff Koons exhibit. The security was creepin hard so no awesome Jeff Koons pieces--you gotta see it for yourself!

Friday was LCD Soundsystem at the Hollywood Bowl.

Saturday was my kickball league's mid-season bar crawl. We had 4 bar stops, and at the first one we met RUFIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He introduced himself as Dante, but that doesn't matter to me. He played one of the raddest dudes in 1990's history and was ultimately killed by Captain Hook!!!!

We had filet mignon sliders with sweet potato fries at the 2nd stop. The strawberry martini I had was dangerous. So sweet, and you could barely taste the alcohol--ooof!

Angela and I went to the UCB Theatre for the What's Going On? with Mike Mitchell show. Steve-O from Jackass was a guest! JACKASS 3D was really funny. Chris Pontius is my favorite, and this line made me laugh-- "Are you stoked, it's a lamborghini". Ughhh you should see it. A++++++

One day walking back from lunch, my coworker said to me "Is that Rob Zombie? IS THAT ROB ZOMBIE?" I looked up, and it was Rob Zombie.

It was one of the funniest things ever because he looked at us, and I looked away. And then he got stuck at the red light, and then we had to cross the street in front of his car all embarassed but stoked because we just saw Rob Zombie!! in his 2 door acura!!

Can we talk about Gatsbys American Dream becoming a band again??? This is one of those bands that I loved in high school and never got to see live, and then they took a break....AND NOW THEY ARE BACK. Volcano was an album I had on repeat for a good year, the music, the lyrics, THE VISION...ughhh!! This was seriously the ultimate awesome news for the week. Gatsbys is sososososo good.

Saturday night I helped Uhnet's friend Tony make enchiladas for Enchilada night. I look like a straight up abuela in this picture.

Last night I saw Katy Perry live at The Music Box! It was for Walmart's Soundcheck series, and she is so much fun live. They were pretty hardcore about no pictures and even though I'm guerilla tactics with pics, I was too busy dancing and watching other people get kicked out for taking pics on their iphones. Nothing like a dance party to start the week off. By the way, the show was FREE. I liked Katy Perry, but after last night, I LOVE KATY PERRY!

In a 2 week period I saw these 4 movies, but actually I saw 2 in one day, and then 2 in one day a week later.

There was a 3D Film Festival going on in Hollywood and I hate 3D movies because I always get a headache, but it was a free screening of How to Train Your Dragon!! I couldn't say no!

How To Train Your Dragon (2010)
WHAT A CUTE MOVIE! You don't need to see it 3D, 2D is perfectly fine for this cute medieval movie. All the voices are recognizable and lots of giggle moments for adults and children not to understand. pretty tight! A++++

The Social Network (2010)
The Social Network was a pretty awesome movie, which is saying a lot because I hate Jesse Eisenberg's voice, and the way he talks. I knew that Mark Zuckerberg was an asshole, but this movie really shows why he is like that. If you didn't see it yet, I definitely recommend it. Lots of funny parts and crazy scenarios considering all this happened within the last 5 years. A+

Easy A (2010)
The first matinee movie at AMC theaters are usually $5, so Danny and I went to go see Easy A! It was actually really really funny. Stanley Tucci (devil wears prada) plays the dad and he is hilarious!! James from Twilight (the vamp who dies in the first film) is the major christian guy in this film---pretty dumb acting on his part, but he is beyond beautiful. So many cuties in this movie. A+++

REC (2007)
Now I typically don't like scary movies, or care for zombie flicks, but wow, REC is awesome. I've never seen a spanish horror movie and dealt with subtitles while being scared, but it wasn't so bad. I'm itching to see Rec 2, and kiiind of want to see the American version Quarantine. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Last Wednesday was Pejman's last day at the west coast office as he is joining the east coast office in a few days. He has a gnarly mustache and this picture speaks volumes. We'll miss our little homie..he is a seriously funny dude.

Saturday night I accompanied Angela to a book signing/private mommy blogger party? in Beverly Hills. Women talked about babies and being moms, and I drank champagne and ate hors d'oeuvres because I had nothing to contribute to the conversation.

Afterwards we hit up the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for Seth and Ed's Puppet Talk Show. Craig Robinson aka Darryl from The Office was a special guest. He was really nice and as soon as he left I forgot to tell him I loved Hot Tub Time Machine!

Angela was hungry so we kept the party going and went to Roscoe's Chicken n Waffles in LA because the Hollywood location had a craaaazy long wait.

Vampire Weekend played at the Hollywood Bowl last night! I was on assignment and had crazy high seats, but the atmosphere is so awesome, and I think everyone needs to experience the Bowl at least once. By the way, Vampire Weekend was sooo fucking good, and so fun, and everyone was dancing...and their drummer is a total babe.

Lastly, you need to watch Vampire Weekend's video for "Giving Up The Gun" -- it is loaded with tight shit! RZA. a JONAS. AND JAKE GYLLENHAAL?????

Last week I went to Las Vegas for Kiersten & Eric's wedding! They got married at Graceland Chapel in an intimate 30 people, 5 minute ceremony, and it was awesome. So much planning went into the 5 day trip, especially since it was all our first times in Vegas.

Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum was on the list of things to do. The thought of seeing wax celebrity figures wasn't a big deal to me, but with a $18 student discount (milk that college ID) and actually going in and seeing it, it was a lot of fun. I totally recommend it!!!! The Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil was awesomeeee!!!! I woke up at the crack of dawn to get cheap day of show tickets. Janine and I dabbled in the casino, didn't really gamble hard. I tried roulette and lost $10. Slots worked for me though, I made $8 off a quarter, and $26 off $1. That might not sound like a lot, but it ruled hearing all the ding ding dings and seeing my 25cents fly.

Overall Las Vegas was a lot of fun, but I don't see how people could live there. It's too much...just too much. Some people must be zombies in Vegas.

Sept 10 was Fashion's Night Out in New York City and Los Angeles. Major fashion spots had special deals going on, djs, free drinks, free cupcakes, all sorts of fun stuff. I heard that Julius was going to be at the Paul Frank store and immediately went over and met him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday night Angela and Andrew were part of "What's Going On? with Mike Mitchell" at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Hollywood. Joey Lawrence was one of the guests on the show, and all I could think of was "WOAH" when he was on stage.

After the comedy show I recognized Ben Schwartz and talked about how cool College Humor is. He was really nice and a total cutie pie.

Her assistant told him that he couldn't look at her face.............!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS THAT SHIT! And he is a big Nicki Minaj fan, and was totally bummed about that. But still looked at her. Side note: I can't stand her music, I'm certainly not a fan, and after I heard that story, she is the wackest.

I checked out their website to look for a menu of the cooked goods, and came across their twitter page, and then their facebook page saying they have 2 tickets left for the Sunset Strip Music Fest. I immediately walk out the door, walk to Whole Foods, ask for Cindy, and BAM. The tickets were mine!

I love social networking! I love Whole Foods!
P.S. the tickets retail for $58 each. free is my favorite!

My friend Danny loves Kid Cudi, so I took him to the Sunset Strip Music Fest and we high five'd when our favorite songs came on.

When we were walking through the festival we saw a bunch of food trucks, most notably the Shrimp Pimp!

Afterwards we ate at Mel's Drive-In on Sunset and played Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" on the jukebox. A++++++ chain of events.

My cousin Nick got married in Rhode Island, and after the reception we lit sparklers for their exit. Pretttyyyyy awesome idea! After family time in Connecticut, we traveled to New York City and spent some more quality time.

We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Broadway to see "Promises, Promises" --which by the way was really awesome, Sean Hayes rules.

My cousin Jenny has been my main partner in crime for the last past couple family events.

This is one of my oldest cousins Brandon. He's such a cool guy, and also a cool dad. His little daughters gave him bad ass Batman cuff links for Father's Day this year.

After the Connecticut/New York trip I came back home to Florida and prepared for Kiersten's bridal shower, and also packing to leave for my internship in California. And that is where I am now.

Angela picked me up from the airport on Monday, I got to my new apartment, met my new roommate and got settled in. Tuesday I had my first day at the internship and took California public transit for the first time! I don't have my car out here so taking the bus to work is my new routine. I've visited southern California a handful of times, but this time I will be living here for 4 months. I'm pretty exciteddd! I love the chilly nights!

I am currently in Connecticut! My family and I flew into La Guardia Airport on Wednesday, had lunch in China Town and then trekked over to Connecticut for family activities. My cousin is getting married tomorrow. I love weddings, I love wedding food, I love wedding cake.

On Wednesday night we had dinner at S&P Oyster Company in Mystic, CT. The lobster bisque was A++++++++++++++++++++. Last night I had lobster mac & cheese. I usually don't order lobster anything, but I'm in lobster areas...why not.

Kiersten's bridal shower is approaching and while looking for party favors she saw and tried a recipe for "Cake in a Jar". Let me tell you, that shit is TIGHT.

I'll be traveling A LOT for the remainder of the year, and I need luggage! While on the hunt for a cute rolly suitcase, I came across this fantastic Betseyville weekender carry-on bag.

My old wallet sucks and after stupidly hesitating on a cute leather Juicy Couture wallet, I found this L.A.M.B. leather wallet!

And then I saw this L.A.M.B. white leather clutch for $80 at Nordstrom Rack and had to buy it! Totally on a whim. bad felicia, bad.

And thennnnnnnnn the next day I came across this perfect black Besteyville every day bag to replace my shitty brown bag that was breaking.

In conclusion, that is how you successfully blow $245 in 2 days while upgrading your accessories.

I'm still looking for a rolly suitcase, and might buy a Space Bag for when I move in a couple weeks!

The West Palm Beach, FL stop of the Vans Warped Tour was this past Saturday, and ohhh what a good time it was.

I worked at the American Rag/Ragged Magazine tent

with Uhnet's friend Luis! He's running the tent for the entire tour. At the American Rag/Ragged Magazine tent you can win Macy's giftcards and meet different bands during signings!

My friend Jake is following the entire tour selling his band's cd and also working at the Rise Records tent.

I ran into my homie John Mchale a bunch of times throughout the day. We stayed hydrated and watched ANDREW W.K.!

2 bands did signings at our tent and the kids were cooperative and stoked. I like seeing people get excited on meeting their favorite musicians.

Danced with Jordan during Four Year Strong's set. The dancing would then continue at Sum 41's set. Everyone went ape shit during Fat Lip.

It was a great day except for the part where Every Time I Die and Set Your Goals played at the same time. Also Alkaine Trio and Four Year Strong had the same set time. Terrible. Parkway Drive was awesome, I never found their merch tent. The WPB layout was weird this year and everything was so spread out. I also got a mild case of sun poisoning for the first time ever, but that's gone now. My sun burnt nose is peeling, which only occurs once a year after warped tour. I've been going to Warped Tour since 2002, and I still love it. It never gets old to me.

Dana wasn't here for my birthday, so we went and got belated birthday nuggets before she headed back to Philly.

Kiersten and I often struggle with "what should we eat tonight?" and making a pizza popped up in someones head, and then this magic happened.

Born Into Brothels (2004) is a really good documentary. I saw it on Netflix last year but didn't actually watch it until last week. It's an awesome story, but sad, but good, but depressing. A++

My dear friend Dana (and #1 fuhleeshuh.com fan) is getting married in August! Her bridal shower was on Sunday, and it was a blasty blast.

They are getting married at a library, and I thought her invite was GENIUS.

The most unfortunate part of this story is that MY COUSIN is getting married on the same day as Dana's wedding AND it's in Connecticut so it's not like I could pull a 2-weddings night, and thus I will be missing her wedding. Ughhhhh I get mad every time I think about it.

In March I was introduced to the world of new movie free advance screenings. I got tickets for Cyrus, and then I got OBSESSED with getting them!

Dinner for Schmucks was in South Beach, so Elena and I had a date night.

We were on Lincoln Rd, so we HAD to get Pizza Rustica. That pizza is the best!!! and $5!!!!!!!!!

Cyrus (2010) - They advertised this as a comedy, and it turned out to be like a sad single-parent movie. I was constantly waiting for the funny parts, and when it ended I was glad because the story line sucked. I was bummed because I love John C Reilly. Not tight. C-

Inception (2010) - This was a really interesting sci-fi action packed movie. I honestly walked into the screening without even seeing the trailer and no idea what I was getting into. It starts out like this : sdjfksjdfksdjffj ????? _____?????? oh..sad part... ??????dsfdfjfhjdshf .... end. That is how I felt. Everyone in the theater walked out with questions. It was kinda tight. B+

Despicable Me (2010) - Semi-cute story line. Great animation. Most of the funny/cute parts were already in advertisements and trailers. Kiddie tight.. B+

Dinner For Schmucks (2010) - This movie was semi-funny, semi-cringe worthy because Steve Carell is a weird dude in the film. Zach Galifinakis makes a great cameo!!!! Paul Rudd is a charming sweetheart as usual... definitely a different story line. It was good, but not tight. B

The past 6 days I've seen 6 movies. Not on purpose really, they just happened in my life!

Taken (2008) was on HBO and what a thriller! I was annoyed with the 17yr old daughter telling strangers her business because obviously euros are going to abduct young dumb Americans, but the Dad was so bad ass..if you haven't seen it, WATCH IT. IT'S TIGHT. A++

Notorious (2009) was also on HBO and I was pretty excited! I remember when Tupac died, and I remember when Biggie died. I had no plans on seeing this movie in theaters but knew I wanted to eventually see what happened in his life. I was bummed that Angela Bassett played Biggie's Mom and didn't have a Jamaican accent. Voletta Wallace is from da island! Faith Evans story is good, and Lil Kim's involvement is sad. No more spoilers, WATCH IT IF YOU LOVE HIP HOP! IT'S TIGHT. A++

This Is England (2006) I saw This Is England on Kiersten's Netflix Instant Queue, and was stoked she had it but of course upon further investigation it was Eric who downloaded it. I went over to their place and watched it on Sunday night. It was awesome! The non-racist skinhead Woody looks exactly like Dana Beal's older brother, and it was distracting. But besides that, it was an awesome story line, and I loved the chelsea girls. WATCH IT IF YOU UP THE PUNX? and if you don't, it was TIGHT REGARDLESS. A++

Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) A coworker of mine downloaded this movie and gave it to me on a flash drive. It had it's funny parts, but I'd be upset if I paid to see this movie in theaters. It was okay.. wait for it on HBO. B--

Eclipse (2010) I saw it today with Kiersten and Ari. We certainly did not go to a midnight showing, but matinee on opening day was fine with us. It was way better than Twilight and New Moon. Things are getting hot and heavy and all the characters are attractive. Carlisle Cullen is my forever my favorite. I think Bella is a slut and that's all I'm going to say. Thumbs up for spanish/native american men in cut-off denim shorts! OBVIOUSLY TIGHT. A++

My work gave me a birthday card accompanied by a gift certificate to Carabba's! I love when birthday cards are passed around at work because I usually write something special for the recipient, even if I don't know them that well. There's a guy named Julio who works upstairs, and he always writes the stupidest, most ridiculous things on cards and I was pumped for him to write on my card. I've gotten to know him recently and instead of the normal jokingly "Remember the time we did crack in the parking lot" for someone he doesn't know, he wrote something nice and equally funny for me.

I've been watching a lot of the World Cup. This may be part of the reason...

Of course I am for Team USA, because duh I love being an American. However, I love watching when someone scores a goal because at that moment, someone's life just changed. Their entire country is stoked, their family is so proud, and now they can forever tell a story about how they went to the world cup and scored a goal in front of the world. That's such a big deal. One little goal.

Or they can embarrass themselves and get a red card. I've seen that twice already today.

I missed the MTV movie awards with Aziz Ansari, and can never catch the repeat on TV. So instead now I'm going to watch it on demand online + do laundry + organize before the weekend workload hurricane.

I've been listening to La Roux's self titled album all week and I am HOOKED. It's so good. "Bulletproof" reeled me in and now I am a believer.

We have coordinated birthday parties at my work every weekend, and I swear I saw Rick Ross on Friday! I walked down the hall and saw this husky dude with a bald head, and thick beard, sunglasses, and a rapper style chain. I didn't say anything to him, or hope that "Every Day I'm Hustlin" came on the work iPod, but my co-worker Jessica said it wasn't him. It might have been his kid's birthday, but I was dead set on this dude being Rick Ross.

Then last night while trying to escort drunk customers out of the bar, one guy looks at my name tag and says "....Fajita?" I couldn't help but laugh and say, "Yes sir, Fajita" and then shoo them out of the bar so I could go home and live my liiiife!

Summer has been pretty nice. I've just been working and coordinating events for the fall and getting excited about my birthday coming up! eeeeee

Janine came to town this past weekend and we got our bridesmaid dresses for Kiersten's wedding.

We ate at Sweet Tomatoes instead of a nice breakfast place since the girls woke up late!

My friend Emi told me about this song today. A band called The Constellations have written a song about me. Well maybe not me, but of a girl named Felicia, in which the song can apply to me.

I like that they rhyme felicia with "need ya" versus Blues Traveler's song "Felicia" where they rhyme felicia with "cheetah". Definite improvement.

Set Your Goals and Comeback Kid played at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. California Metalfest was going on in Pomona and I went to that with Ann. We hit up all my favorite california food spots including In-n-out, Claim Jumper, Chuck-e-cheese BUFFET, Roscoe's chicken'n'waffles, and Yogurtland. 2010 Photojournal Part 5 is up! Uhnet and I had lunch with some of her friends in LA, and she asked me if there was anything in LA I wanted to go to before I left, and then I realized we were near The Hundreds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we stopped at The Hundreds on Rosewood Ave, then Johnny Cupcakes and Paul Frank on Melrose!

I picked up some socks and The Hundreds magazine vol 2. I looked in my bag and there were no stickers! I told them the Post St. store hooked it up last time, and homeboy went in the back and scooped up a bunch of stickers for me...and put it in my bag like I was trick-or-treating.

My homie danny loves The Hundreds, so I hooked him up today with those sticky icky goodies!

I landed in Ft.Lauderdale around 7pm, and while standing at baggage claim I was texting someone when I noticed a tall fat guy in a white tee walking back and forth in front of me, and I looked up and noticed it was rapper Fat Joe. I immediately giggled to myself because I can't stand Fat Joe's music, and of course he would be on my LA flight and not a celebrity I like. This is reminiscent of the time I saw Tyrese at LAX waiting for a flight, and I can't stand Tyrese either. If this was any other rapper in the game, I'd be sooo excited because it was the perfect opportunity to meet someone, but nope. The only other rapper I could imagine this happening would be Ja Rule or Flo Rida, I can't stand those dudes but they'll probably show up randomly in my life too. Fat Joe was on the phone talking loudly saying "yeah my WIFE is pickin me up, CANT WAIT TO GET BACK TO THE CRIB, IMMA BE THERE IN 20 MINUTES" and then I called my mom and said "hey mom!! I got my stuff!! see you soon!!!!" ---totally different tones, but still excitement of being home.

It's the morning in Long Beach and Uhnet & Danny are asleep. Of course I wake up early since my body is in Florida time. Never fails.. Since I'm up early, I'm watching Robin Hood: Men In Tights on ABC Family.

What a great American classic.

Recently I've seen Kick Ass, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Iron Man 2.

Kick Ass was so good. I'm not familiar with the comic at all, but Hit Girl RUULED. She was such a bad ass.

A Nightmare on Elm Street was pretty good. I recently saw the 1984 original during a class analysis, and for the remake they really did an awesome job with a story plot twist but keeping it real with roots of the same scenes. It was good, and terrifying. Poor Robbie's arm really got a good squeeze throughout that movie. Also Freddy Krueger legitimately looked like a burn victim. Amazing make up job!

I saw Iron Man 2 on Friday night with Angela. Sooooooo good! I never saw a trailer for the new movie, but I did recently see the first Iron Man. The new one is awesome, Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor. DJ AM's cameo was pretty unexpected and sad. I mean it's awesome that he got to be in the movie, but just kinda bummed me out. Scarlett Johansson was pretty hot and a total bad ass too! I love seeing females kick ass in these movies!

Enough movie talk. I'm still in Californiaaaaaaa. Uhnet and Danny's new apartment in downtown Long Beach is so tight. Today I'm going to walk around and explore! See yaaaaa

Yesterday at 7:40am, I hopped on a plane and flew to California! I always sleep on that 5 hour flight. I like flying on Virgin America because I can wake up, touch the screen and see where we are currently flying over thanks to googlemaps. At one point I woke up and we were over New Mexico. Angela picked me up from LAX and the journey began!

Angela and her husband Andrew play on a recreational co-ed softball team, and won the championship last night! Afterwards we went to In-n-Out.

I got #3 animal style all the way. I typically get the pink lemonade, but they had 7UP!!!

Jackson has grown up so much since the last time I was here.

Now he's walking and unloading the dishwasher with Angela. I love him!

California weather is something else. The chilly nights are so refreshing, oh california, you are a joy to be in.

FINALS WEEK HAS BEGUN.

Tonight I am pulling an all-nighter. I have a final exam at 9am, and a final paper due at 4pm. I worked all day and just got home...I scooped up some mcdonalds iced coffee, which I will be drinking like water this week, and now I'm ready to get crack a lackin.

But first I must show you my new favorite organizer..

I've been looking for a rotating earring holder for the longest time, and during an organizing/cleaning spree I decided now is the time to check ebay for an earring holder. I found a seller from Brooklyn (which ruled since all the others were sellers from China with crazy shipping) and within a week this bad boy came in!

I still have some extra spots on the other side for future earrings :)

This week I was inspired to clean out my closet and sell some shit to Plato's Closet. Then yesterday I went shoe shopping and picked up 3 new cuties including these bad boys..

Johnny Cupcakes is currently on his US Tour, and since Kiersten and I have been huge fans since 2005, we haaaad to go to the Miami date! Johnny Cupcakes is a millionaire and doesn't have to go out of his way to meet his fans, but he did, and we love him for it. He is the shit. THE SHIT

We got to Friends With You at around 3:30. The event didn't start till 6, but we knew there'd be a long line.

There were free cupcakes, and also complimentary Bacardi drinks!

This Wu-Tang shirt was the first Johnny Cupcakes shirt I ever bought in 2005. If you were to tell me that 5 years later I would meet the creator (especially in Florida), I would have not believed you. Johnny is a creative genius, marketing guru, and straight up nice guy.

Afterwards since we were in Miami, we went to Pizza Rustica on Lincoln Rd.

$5 you can't go wrong! mmmmmmmmmmmm

I scooped up the special edition Johnny Cupcakes x Malfi Club t-shirt that was only at the Miami date! I was worried that they would have sold out by the time we got in the store, but I managed to get one of the last ones.

I finally joined the rest of the world and saw Inglourious Basterds. What an amazing movie. I'm not like a crazy fan of Quentin Tarantino, but I think this was a masterpiece. Brad Pitt is hilarious, BJ Novak is hilarious, everything was well thought out, and I would watch it again. I remember when Christoph Waltz won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and I thought to myself "who's that guy?" but after I saw the movie I know exactly why he won that award. His portrayal of Hans Landa was soo siick. Like I felt sorry for the characters whenever his character arrived, kind of nervous really---that means he played an awesome villian. Kudos Christoph Waltz!

When I watched Inglourious Basterds, I couldn't help but fall for Daniel Bruhl, who played a german "war hero" named Fredrick Zoller, mostly because of his portrayal of a young man smitten with the french cinema owner. His charm and good looks helped, but I guess my loneliness and desire for someone sweet played a part in my admiration. And I know I'm not the only girl who watched that movie and thought he was a cutie pie, but I like REALLY thought he was a cutie pie and wanted to date him, besides the fact his character killed innocent hundreds. I want to watch all of Daniel Bruhl's movies now. All of them.

Inglourious Basterds, I give you an A+.

No, I did not join the iPhone cult, however, I am now a part of the Blackberry Gang. Finally I am in a world where I can have free ringtones, voice dialing technology, video camera and GPS on my cellular telephone. I believe the term is "smartphone" and I am so siked on it.

Monday night I watched Chris Rock's documentary "Good Hair" with FAU's black student association. I was the only asian in the room and I felt like I had a target on my back during Chris Rock's segment on the best human hair weaves being Indian hair. It was such an eye-opening documentary. I know black girls go through some shit to manage their hair, but I had no idea about how bad relaxers are for your skin, and the pressure for little girls to get their hair done, and the industry for their hair products. It's really good and I recommend you watch it. The celebrity commentators are hilarious (Ice T, Nia Long, Eve, That's so Raven, Al Sharpton, Maya Angelou)

I know Netflix has a documentary section. Go get it!

Yesterday Erica and I saw Cursive and Alkaline Trio. I didn't have a chance to buy tickets at the box office, so instead I got raped by ticketmaster. $17 ticket magically turned into $30. Ticketmaster is a dickhead. But anyhoo, the show was fantastic.

It was the first time I've seen Cursive live, and they were soooooooooooooooooo good.

Matt Skiba is so attractive. He's the only man I'd be okay sharing my eyeliner with. and that is saying a lot.

Marisa told me about this hole in the wall restaurant called Talia's that has "the most amazing sandwiches for $5" -- SHE WAS RIGHT. I got the "Marconi" which was turkey with seasonings, citrus mayo + other yummies, and I thought mine was good..then I tried Marisa's "Michaelangelo" and it made my sandwich taste like shit. Hers was an herb chicken cutlet, with eggplant and mozzarella ...and simply divine. Local friends need to hit that place up!

Afterwards we hit up this show..

It's been a while since I've seen Protagonist and Fallen From The Sky on the same bill, and it was nice seeing all my boyfriendz together. A lot of the kids were going apeshit over The Wonder Years. I've heard of them, but hadn't listened to them until that night, and I don't get it. Crime In Stereo was good! I wish the Talent Farm wasn't so far away into the everglades almost, but overall it was fantastic night filled with good music and friends :)

Yesterday I rented Whip It since I missed the screening in class. Took it to Kiersten's crib and we had a cute pizza & movie night. The movie actually ruled, Drew Barrymore dun did good. The strong female all star cast helped.

Today I did some cleaning and came across an old Double or Nothing Records sampler from 2006. straight gold baby!

It's been a busy past few days, and I am back on the east coast. I had a red eye flight on Thursday night, and woke up in Florida on Friday morning. Then I immediately went back into the grind of work. I had so much fun in San Francisco! My fisheye love has been rekindled.

Mona has a friend who always gets tickets for advanced screenings, so we saw "She's Out of My League" last week and that movie was hilarious! Jay Baruchel is oddly adorable.

Yesterday I had a chance to have lunch with Ari before she went back up to Gainesville.

Our original plan was to go to my favorite thai place, but they were closed! So we settled for ze olive garden.

I can't believe I go back to school tomorrow. FEELS WEIRD.

Lastly, for Mona's birthday I took her to do the segway tour of San Francisco. It was seriously so much fun. Here is VIDEO PROOF.

We ate at Tommy Toy's for Mona's birthday dinner, and had the signature 6 course dinner. Every course was soooooooo good, and the 6th was this peach mousse that was absolutely heavenly.

I wear the smaller version of this hair clip probably 3 out of the 7 days of the week...and this extreme one is too awesome. To no use, but still awesome.

I love THE HUNDREDS and finally got to shop in the San Francisco store.

I'm in San Francisco and today is Mona's birthday! For lunch, we went to the Crab House at Pier 39..soo yummy. I'm here for Spring Break (which conveniently coincided with her birthday)! I got here on Friday afternoon and it's been eating nonstop, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

On Wednesday my homie Jessica invited me to see Henry Rollins spoken word tour. I'm not a Henry Rollins fan because of Black Flag, I just like spoken word, and I know he has interesting shit to say. I've heard his spoken word before, but hearing and seeing him live is 1000x better. The way he speaks to you is like he's your bestie that you haven't seen in 5 years and you're catching up on all the crazy shit that happened. He had a story about being friends with William Shatner in which he calls him "Bill" + Thanksgiving dinner, also stories on travels to Saudia Arabia, Sarah Palin, being the commencement speaker at Sonoma state university, playing a white-supremacist gang leader on Sons of Anarchy, RuPaul, and the way he talks about Bad Brains is kind of poetic. He also has a fantastic vocabulary and mentioned some of the most random, obscure references that I loved. At one point he said something about iambic pentameter and I almost lost it. I can't wait to see him again.

At the beginning of January, I entered a lottery to win a ticket to see the Dalai Lama speak at school, and then I won! His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama spoke today, and it was awesome!

It's weird to say..but really..he's such a chill dude. He was making jokes, and he absolutely reminded me of Ari's grandpa. His english was pretty good, but still broken enough with the right jokes to make everyone laugh. I did feel enlightened when I left -- One of my favorite things he said was "A genuine smile is a unique gift from a human being" and he is right! At the end of his speaking he answered student-submitted questions, and there was one question about him believing if we will ever achieve world peace, and he said "Don't shout world peace, world peace, world peace, that doesn't work. or release pigeons, it's silly."

Also, Scotty Lago and Shaun White hold a special place in my heart too.

I'm glad NBC does a primetime show and a late show. It's like they knew my schedule is all over the place, and made it specially for me.

Ski jumping is really amazing. I'd love to see that shit live. They are flying in the air, and then land so gracefully. just amazing.

I forgot what was on for the late show, but it wasn't holding my interest, so I put on the tv guide and saw Deadliest Catch was on Discovery Channel HD---and I love watching it on HD because that show is intense..and then I saw the icon on the bottom right corner and found out Captain Phil Harris died.

He was my favorite captain, cut-throat honesty, total bad-ass, and had a soft spot when it came to his sons* (*hot sons, who also work on the Cornelia Marie). He had some medical problems on the show and I really got bummed when I saw "1956 - 2010." Rest in peace Captain.

Because we have conflicting schedules, I took Kiersten out for her birthday yesterday even though it's tomorrow. We had dinner at Ichiban, had dessert at Rita's, and saw Valentine's Day. It was an awesome night! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIERSTEN WENG CHUNG TONIGHT!

By the way--this movie was cute. And not shitty, sappy, or depressing...just good and cute. Bradley Cooper was beautiful as expected, and Taylor Swift's character was named FELICIA. It's not often I hear my name when not directed toward me, so I was in a "uhh wut???" thought when I first heard they say it.

From a fattie's point of view, the worst part of getting sick is losing the sense of taste. Last night was New Found Glory's 10 year anniversary of the self-titled record tour! They played the entire self-titled cd from track 1 to 12 in order. I can't tell you how awesome it was.

Hellogoodbye is on the tour too and I made a medley of their set..

Last night everyone went down memory lane with their set. It was just a big sing-a-long. New Found Glory is so good, and their hometown shows are something to marvel at. I have a really soft spot for Hellogoodbye. Back in 2003, Forrest Kline had a photoblog site (forrestkline.com, now deceased) that I loved. It had a weird layout with a drop down menu of dates of pictures chronicling his life, and I was inspired. I liked seeing his weekly, sometimes daily pictures of him and his friends (eating adventures, small shows, california living, and even the process of signing with Drive-Thru Records), and thought hey, I can do that too. That's how fuhleeshuh.com came about. I wanted a place online where my friends can see the fun stuff we did, and although he stopped doing his site a few years back, my site is still kickin today.

I've seen them at Warped Tour, sold out House of Blues (with Reggie and the Full Effect opening--mind fuck since Reggie was THEIR inspiration, I digress), in their native California, and it's a party every time. They are on tour with New Found Glory now, and I am absolutely excited to see them next week. Forrest Kline is a goofy dude, and I'm into it.

When I saw that video last week, I thought about the phrase "My treat". It's one of the best things to hear or say, because it's the little things that count. Beit lunch, ice cream, a movie ticket, or in this case Taco Bell. It's just a nice gesture. I appreciate stuff like that. or maybe I'm just a sap.

My homie Jessica texted me yesterday afternoon asking if I want to go to a hockey game that night. I love sports events, so I said yes!

Panthers won! All of Canada left the building with sad faces. I've never seen so many Quebec license plates in my life. Before our national anthem they played Canada's "O Canada" and half the stadium was singing. They come out of the woodworks for their national sport-----and then they LOSE!!!! Can't take the heat, eh? :)

Friday night I got off work at 530, and had plans to hang out with 2 Jessicas around 9. So to kill some time I went to the mall because 1) haven't gone shopping for myself in a while 2) had a giftcard I wanted to holla at 3) "just got paid, friiiday night" nsync style. Got some fun stuff at Forever 21, and popped my head into Hot Topic just to look around...and I see these blue beauties! On sale! walking straight into my heart. I showed my sister the next day, and she said they look like stripper heels(because of the 4.5 inch heel, pahaha). That doesn't discourage me though, these shoes are BITCHIN. I looked into the label Iron Fist, and they make the cutest shoes!

After my successful shopping excursion, I went to Jessica's apartment, and then other Jessica showed up, we had margaritas and daiquiris, taco salad, watched 2 Kat Williams DVDs and called it a night.

Starbucks at school got both Marisa's and my name wrong = double fail.

I hadn't seen Elena since the new year started, so we caught up on all holiday news and gossip.

So before the new semester started, I was talking to my co-worker Stacie about how expensive this semester is going to be with extra classes I am taking + books, and she told me about CHEGG.COM. THE MOST AMAZING MONEY SAVING WEBSITE OF ALL TIME. You rent a book, they ship it to you for free, you use the book for the semester, you return the book with free shipping = !!!!!!!!!!!! AND......every book you rent, Chegg.com plants a tree. I spent $105.95 on 4 books. FOUR BOOKS. I saved $190! AND I planted 4 trees in Guatemala. The shipping was relatively fast, seeing as I ordered on Wednesday and got the goodies on Monday. So awesome. I wish I found out about this amazing website earlier in my college career, however, I am still thankful I know about it now. It's legit people. Stacie has used it for the past 3 semesters, and now I swear by it!

Kiersten has never been to Golden Corral, and I think everyone needs to experience Golden Corral at least once in their life. We go to Sweet Tomatoes often, so buffets are A+ to us, and I wanted to show her the zoo that is GC. Our only mistake is that we went at 7pm on a Friday night. Yes, obviously that's a bad time because everyone is out eating dinner on a Fri night, but we're a part of the "going out on a friday night" demographic like everybody else!

The funniest part of Golden Corral experience was when she was eating her salad and said "I think I got bacon dressing"....and I examined the dressing, and there were indeed tiny bacon pieces infused in the sweet dressing, which is a problem for a vegetarian. Upon further investigation on how that could happen, someone switched the labeled ladles, and it was all an accident. However, the bacon dressing really was tasty.

The Jersey Shore holds a place in my heart, and so do these little kiddie-ohs.

Last night I had such a good night at work. I was with my co-worker bestie Jessica (she was in the IMD Christmas video in the red jumpsuit dancing) and it was just a bunch of laughs with customers and spontaneous dancing due to the most random jams from the PA. It's always good when work doesn't feel like work, but you still gettin that paycheck on thursday!!!! OH KAY KAY KAYY!

Uhnet, Danny, Luis and I did a stickam chat last night. It's so much fun!

Danny started to beat up the beat, and a chain reaction followed. I love technology, and being able to see my friends on the other coast!

School started and my classes seem pretty interesting. Due to scheduling issues in the past, I have to take a freshmen introductory class this semester, as a pre-req for a class I need in summer. So when the "first day introductory attendance sheet" was being passed around, next to everyones name was their year in college in which majority was freshmen freshmen freshmen sophomore freshmen freshmen sophomore"...and then I wrote senior. and when the ole question came about "why you're taking this class" most answers were "i'm interested!" mine is "...I need it so I graduate in summer" TRUTH.

Today I had lunch with Dana and Keith!

My engaged lovelies are in town for a late holiday visit and off they go back to Pennsylvania tomorrow.

After school I came home to snail mail goodies!

Australian world traveler Matt Kovacs sent a postcard from England! I love postcards, and usually send them out when I go traveling myself (friends got them from LA and NY last year). However getting one from over seas is way more interesting. His blog is 100000x more interesting than mine, and always a good read. He's a cutie too, and all Australian babes should date him!

And if the day couldn't get any better, my new babies arrived in the mail too.

These were a Christmas present to myself, since no one in my family understands, supports or respects my shoe collection. These black beauties are my newest edition to the family...

Today was Kiersten and Eric's engagement party at Eric's parent's house. His mom cooks the best food. As soon as I got the invitation and saw Eric's mom is hosting it, I was immediately stoked for her macaroni and cheese. Kiersten and a good amount of friends are vegetarian, so there were lots of dips and veggie friendly dishes (off the chain spinach ravioli). Also honorable mentions: pulled pork (with Sweet Baby Rays bottle on the side), Hooters wings, ham, turkey, spinach dip, queso dip, buffalo chicken dip, delicious etc etc. Also drinks and desserts galore. Many wedding plans were discussed and we bridesmaids gotta go dress & shoe shopping soon! woo woooooooooo!

I can't believe the break is over, and school starts tomorrow. The collegiate end is near for me(!!!!!!!!).

I've been putting off looking at my schedule and getting situated for Spring semester, but I guess I need to do that now to see what time class is tomorrow. Ay carumba...getting back into the game now. Goodbye social life, I'll see you in the summer <3

I've never really been a huge Robert Downey Jr fan, but for some reason the universe wanted me to watch 3 of his movies within 3 days.

I hadn't seen Ari during the whole winter break, so we made plans to go see Sherlock Holmes on Sunday. I thought it was awesome to see Holmes' thought process. Rachel "Biggest Forehead in the game" McAdams was fantastic too! My dad recently bought The Soloist (for $5 since a bunch of Blockbuster locations are closing down), and my sister and I watched it. It was an interesting story, and I kind of look at homeless people differently...but not fully. Everyone and their mom has seen Iron Man, and since my brother had it on DVD, and we needed a movie to watch, we started it last night. I was tired from work, so we actually didn't finish it...no review there. I'm not a comic-book person, so I'm shocked by the story line, and learning all sorts of new stuff and getting ready for Iron Man 2 haha.. Robert Downey Jr is a pretty good actor. Versatile...I like it.

When I was watching Sherlock Holmes, I was thinking that Johnny Depp could have played that character also. Which then turned into Robert Downey Jr looks like Johnny Depp...which turned into me googling "Robert Downey jr Johnny Depp look alike" hoping someone thinks this too, but then this came up...

However, no RDJ/Johnny Depp comparisons.

Mikey Cera's new movie comes out soon. I understand the concept, but not fully how his "alter-ego" is made and takes over..could be like a Fight Club Tyler Durden. Mikey Cera has a cute face, but it's still sad looking, yet oddly adorable? It's even awkward to describe. He disappointed me in "Year One" and I never saw "Paper Heart"... however, I did laugh out loud when I saw this picture...

I LOVE THE JERSEY SHORE SHOW...something about those guidos and guidettes makes me smile.

I'm back into the swing of things at work. A couple days ago, this big spanish Suge Knight (bald with beard) looking dude came in looking all mean...but then came to the cafe where I was at and asked for a pink vitamin water with a big polite smile on his face. I love those kinds of extremes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The last week was filled with a whirlwind of events. So many indian wedding activities, so much food..

When we sat down for the ceremony, we saw this little snack pouch..and I thought it was for maybe after the wedding, but then I saw some of the older people eating it..and then I realized ITS FOR NOW. The ceremony was 2ish hours long, and basically a show. With snacks, and then..

Dinner for one of the nights...this was Gujarati food, so all vegetarian. The actual wedding reception dinner had chicken and beef, and was SO DELICIOUS, but not photographed, because I was too busy stuffing my face.

Desserts from the wedding. The pink cake was the wedding cake (strawberry flavored). It had blue frosting, and was very pretty.

New Years Eve was spent at this imax theater-turned club. It was open bar with a ton of food. My sister was my first hug of the new year :)

Right now I'm listening to Polar Bear Club "Chasing Hamburg" cd. I didn't make a "Best of" list for 2009, but I will say that their cd was one of the best. I was fortunate enough to see PBC and Set Your Goals twice last year on the same tour in different states! (Ft.Lauderdale + Los Angeles) Speaking of that tour, Set Your Goals "This Will Be the Death of Us" cd was also A+++ from 2009.

The 2009 section of the photojournal is now complete with 6 sections. Time to start 2010!

Today's Sunday update is coming from Tampa. I am here with my sister for her homegirl's hindu wedding. Festivities started last night..

The mehndi was only on my hand for maybe an hour and a half and it came out so dark in the morning!

Just a reminder, we are catholic, and part indian, but not enough to know anything about hindus..so this is a learning experience, and so much fun!!!!

We just came back from my sister's favorite dim sum spot in Tampa..and I feel a food coma approaching...more wedding stuff tonight...dinner? and then the ceremony tomorrow. SIIIIKED

I was just going to do one big photojournal update to finish up the year, but there were too many pictures. So 2009:part 5 is up now!

I went to a Christmas party on Friday night. Unfortunately I got off work at midnight and had to arrive in work clothes when everyone was dressed up in pretty attire.

It is nice and chilly in Florida right now! and I just checked for final grades for the semester and they are up...

COOL BRAG...I KNOW. I AM SIIIIIIKED. This semester was not an easy one, and I read more than I ever did for these 4 classes. Especially "Race and Ethnic Relations". So yeah, I will brag. brag all day....!!!!!!!!!

I spent 64 hours in Orlando from Sunday night to Wednesday late morning. This is an extreme play-by-play. Drive up, eat dinner with friends, work Universal, eat dinner with friends, drink with roommates, work universal, eat dinner with friends, finish universal employee business, ride THE MUMMY and drive back down.

I stayed at Janine & Tito's apartment for a good part of the summer. We had drinks at this bar near downtown and they were showcasing holiday horror movies. We watched "Santa's Slay", drank specialty beers, and partially enjoyed this Butterfinger. For some reason, Butterfingers are so good, but have a weird texture after a few chews.

Before I left Orlando, I brought my homie Greg to the parks and rode The Mummy. Leonard was working, but on break, so he rode too...such perfect timing. But can we really talk about that little girl who is terrified? pahahahaha

My homegirl Dana got engaged on Monday!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
2010 is huuuuuuge for some of my closest girlfriends. I have lots of weddings to attend, lots of wedding cake to eat, and lots of tears to flow. And all of them are marrying great guys. The latter part of 2010 is going to be so gnarly.

Decorating a Christmas tree is one of my most favorite things to do. At work we had a 12 foot tree to decorate, and I spent an awesome hour and a half assembling everything, hanging ornaments, tying ribbon, draping strings of pearl and singing Christmas carols--on the clock! the best! Then at Kiersten's they had a real tree and we prepared the ornaments while watching The Santa Clause 2.

In the Santa Clause 2, Tim Allen says, "You are a sad, strange little man"--- which he also says when he is Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story!!!!!!! Nerd talk..

Starbucks breakfast with Mom! She doesn't like being on my site, so this is food-anonymous style. Regular coffee, tall caramel frap-no whip, pumpkin loaf, and ham breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread. My mom is a really awesome lady with tons of crazy stories, especially stories of growing up in Jamaica in the 60s. She graduated college with her bachelors degree in 3 years (magna cum laude!) from the University of Miami in 1979! 1979! old as rocks!!!!!!!! She's the tightest lady I know. My mama dukes.

Lastly, today is my half birthday.

Kiersten loves P.O.S. and I love Saosin, so it was a win-win situation since they played the PacTour at the Culture Room last night!

The majority of Saosin's set was from the new cd. They didn't play "Bury Your Head" which has been a staple in every Saosin show since I started seeing them live in 2003. But I guess it's just time to move on..

Afterwards I helped to set up the meet'n'greet and all went well. Chris was awesome, all the dudes were awesome, but Chris...is the best <3

I'm done with FALL SEMESTER 2009!!!!!! My last exam was monday night, and let me tell you, the freeness feels good.

When it comes to Winter, Florida is the weirdest state to live in. On Christmas, we crank the air conditioning while others crank the heater. I still to this day have not seen snow, and you bet your bottom dollar the first thing I want to do is make a snow angel. But despite the warm weather, and the lack of snow, we can still get into the Christmas spirit with holiday movies on tv, Christmas lights galore, and the seasonal goodies popping up in coffee shops. Right now ELF is on tv, and it might be the best Christmas movie of all time.

Also a couple years ago my sister borrowed my ELF dvd, and her friend borrowed it afterwards. People forgot about it, and then when the dvd case was returned the DVD INSIDE WAS NOT ELF. It was some other movie that someone "switched on accident" and to this day when I see ELF on tv, I'm bummed because I don't have it. Actually not bummed on the material aspect, but the PRINCIPLE of someone not making sure the right dvd is in its place. c'mon nowwww.

On a less Christmas-y note, and more weird story...last night at work, a dude came in and kept taking our pamphlets or any type of papers and kept folding them into shapes. It was so odd..he just kept taking them throughout the night. One time he came to my area and asked for a pen, and I said "for what?" and he said "to draw dots" and then I asked "what do you need the paper for?" and he said "for a collage" but he kept throwing the paper out! So this older coworker Brian was next to me and said he can't be taking and wasting our paper like that. Then the dude walked away, and Brian told me if that dude takes more pamphlet to let him know. Then about 5 mins later, crazy dude walked out to smoke a cigarette, came back in took a pamphlet from the front desk, and Brian told him to leave the building.

It was just so weird, because this guy came into our establishment, didn't buy anything, didn't look at the track or arcade, but just took our paper and folded it. One girl asked him why he was doing it and he told her "folding them in patterns so they are less desirable to eat"

WHAT IS THAT!

I got home and googled "obsessive compulsive disorder paper folding" and different variations of that, but I couldn't find any information on it.

Lastly, Kiersten and I went to Tijuana Flats on Friday night. I've been there twice before, and wasn't impressed..but I decided to give it another try. And it still disappoints me. I just don't find it to be good, AT ALL. Burritos, boring. Chimichangas, boring. Nachos, boring. real talk.

This year's Thanksgiving wasn't so traditional. My dad's family was in town, and it was a very Jamaican Thanksgiving..there was turkey, but also escoveitch fish, curry crab, rice'n'peas and other jamaican delicacies....and all I wanted was pumpkin pie! I am American!!!!

So I talked to Kiersten pre-thanksgiving and said plz plz plzzzzz hook it up with a slice of pumpkin pie!

After family left my house, I headed over to her place and we exchanged desserts. I brought a slice of birthday rum cake for her and then I got sum a dat pie!!!

I started a new job on Wednesday, and now my weekends are engulfed with work. I am not complaining, because I need the money, however it just sucks during the holidays because friends are in town, and I work till midnight. I did manage to see Ari for a little bit and eat some filipino goodies, and also see Janine--who always rules.

I got an email invite to the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Show in the World" tour, and Elena and I went on Thursday night. Angelo Moore, saxophonist of Fishbone, was the MC for the night, and that dude is a ball of energy. There were blindfolded knife-throwers, beatboxer lady, an opera singing acrobat, crossbow masters, burlesque dancers, a human slinky, and a dude who balanced a working lawnmower on his chin (they even threw lettuce at the blade to show you it was working---NUTS! shredded lettuce everywhere!)

I forgot to mention that there was free and unlimited Dos Equis! Cheers to that!

On Friday I saw NEW MOON with Kiersten! Ughhh it was so good. I'm not a Twilight book reader, but I do find joy in the movies and if you want to get real technical and retarded wit it, yes, I am on Team Edward. Kiersten and I did our in-car reviews of the film and talked about how we felt about them for a good 20 minutes. I found it interesting that the werewolves are actually hot latino men pretending to be Native Americans. Also Jacob's body transformation is SERIOUS!!!!! WHATS UP...but you are 17 in real life, and we are all pedophiles...until Feb 11, 2010 when you are then 18 years old. haha....and that is all you will ever hear me talk about the Twilight saga until Eclipse comes out next summer.

Saturday night my family and I celebrated good news for my Dad and ate at a Chinese spot in south Miami. The oranges+fortune cookies display was impressive.

Then on the drive back home my dad said "You wanna get a bud?" and I said "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" ..."do you wanna get a bud?"........."HUH? WHATS A BUD??????..OH BEER? WHAAAAAAT?"

My parents are not big on drinking alcohol. The only alcohol we have in the house is cooking wine--for the old Jamaican favorite "Ginger Wine soup" and usually only drink for special occasions/weddings and stuff. So I was pumped my dad wanted to go get a drink. It was the first time I drank alcohol with my parents in a bar setting, and I texted my older sister "I'm drinking beer with MOM AND DAD" and she was bummed because she hasn't even done that yet.

As the semester is winding down, things are starting to get real. Right now is the calm before the storm, but next week I will be consumed with writing papers, and hating college. I recently signed up for Spring semester..which will consist of 18 credits (6 classes + 1 discussion = no life) and will be on track to graduate Summer 2010. GRADUATE. COLLEGE. Ay carumba.

One of the things I miss most about living in Orlando, is the plentiful locations of PITA PIT. The frequently visited locations included one by my old apartment near the UCF campus, and another conveniently located outside da clubs downtown...and I would ALWAYS LOVE IT! So since I moved back to south florida, I'm always craving the orlando pita goodness...until Kiersten notified me that she saw one down here! And in fact there are 3 locations in soFla (Lauderhill, Ft.Lauderdale, Miami)!!!!!! The fat kid inside rejoiced, and finally I reconnected with my old friend the chicken breast pita, with lettuce, tomato, green peppers, pineapples and RANCH. I know what you're thinking, but trust me, it is the jam.

Kiersten, her mom and I went wedding dress shopping! CAN I TELL YOU HOW MUCH FUN THAT IS!!! Do you want strapless? beadwork? lace? sweetheart cut? a-line? train? Kiersten is not at all a veil person, and this girl wanted her to try one with every dress. This is not the winning dress, and that will never be the veil. This is her "this bitch is crazy, get this shit off my head" face.

Jeffy was forced to dress like a hotdog. The wind was blowing my red dress in all directions. I was basically a chinese marilyn monroe.

Elena and her sisters turned 23. We celebrated at her friend's ballin mansion by the beach. Her other friend baked this cake...from SCRATCH. 3 chocolate layers and strawberry insides!

Dana flew in from Philadelphia for the weekend. She's doing grad school at Temple! We have a mutual love for chicken nuggets, so we really made plans to go to lunch at Mcdonalds. Apparently there aren't a lot of fast food spots near where she lives, so she missed the simple things! She was also chosen to participate in my people section, so check her out. Regarding this chicken nugget, one of my favorite movie scenes is in Saving Silverman, when Jack Black is eating nachos and says "If you get the nachos stuck together, that's, one nacho." and these 2 nuggets were stuck together, thus, 1 nugget. Therefore, I got 9 nuggets in a 10pc. But then it was heart shaped, so I wasn't upset.

School was relatively quiet this week, and that's what I like. My friends Elena and Jenny celebrated their birthdays on Tuesday. Happy Birthday my lovelies!
