I am prolonging the fact that the site has been neglected. Spring semester is coming to an end, I have a paper due tomorrow at 7pm. 1 exam on sunday, 2 exams on monday, 1 exam on wednesday----THEN I AM FREE FOR ZE SUMMER.
But can we really talk about the NEW FOUND GLORY TOUR right now? New Found Glory, Bayside, Set Your Goals = all on one tour. That is a serious singing session for me. They played south florida on April 13, and I went with Kiersten & Eric :) NFG Florida/hometown shows are definitely different than any other show in any other state. They bring so much to the table, they play harder, they smile more, they play more old songs than the norm, IT IS GREAT. Their parents, grandparents, brothers/sisters, cousins, aunt+uncles were watching from the side of the stage and it was sooo cute to see Ian's son Oliver with his little protective headphones that basically engulf his head. After the show when we were leaving Eric went to go talk to Ian and Oliver was sleeping while Ian was holding him, it was adorable. And really crazy to see because we all know Ian from New Found Glory is that goofy character...but we're all growing up, and he's a dad taking care of his son.......man times have changed. Also, my homie Juan is selling merch for Set Your Goals. He's a good dude, so if the tour comes to your city tell him what's up and tip him. I gave him an Easter egg filled with candy because Easter was the day before.
We went to the Coral Springs Ale House afterward and it was pretty vacant. At around 1am Chad Gilbert came in with 3 people and they got denied service because the kitchen clothes at 12:30am. Last night he rocked all our worlds at the show, but to the Ale House he is just some dude who missed the kitchen time.
NFG's set was so good. a good mix of their whole discography, not enough from Coming Home, but what they did play I am cool with + acoustic!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh everyone took a walk down memory lane last night.
That's it for me. Not much has happened because I've been focusing on the end of this semester. More frequent updates in the future, I promise babycakes!!!!
