School has been moving along nicely. I can't believe there are only 10 days left in September....bananas. October is going to be pretty awesome. I can feel it. No details yet!

I tagged along with homegirl Kiersten to do some errands. When we were in one of the plazas she saw an italian ice place called "Rita's" and flipped! I had never been there, but Kiersten loves it, and she conveniently had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon. I got georgia peach, she got mango.

My car hit quite a satanic mileage recently.

Lastly, I GOT A JOB!!!!! NO MORE UNEMPLOYMENT! BACK 2 DA WORKING REAL WORLD.

I had dinner with Kiersten the other day. She got a new tattoo on her arm and it's a bright, fantastic and girly flower :) As we were leaving the restaurant we saw a Rolls Royce in the handicap spot right in front of the door, and I thought WHO DRIVES THEIR ROLLS ROYCE TO RUBY TUESDAYS? crazy rich old people. We saw them walk in too, the guy was seriously 200 years old.

My parents have an avocado tree, and my dad uses this instrument to pluck the ripe avocado...it was pretty awesome. The avocados are huge! I asked my mom what kind of steroids she puts in the water to feed it, and she says it's just God's rain and sunshine.....She is very proud of her tree <3

I have a mantra that I say when I am looking for parking spots in the parking garage at school, or when looking for parking spots in general. It goes:

POSITIVE THOUGHTS
PARKING SPOTS
POSITIVE THOUGHTS
PARKING SPOTS

and it usually works. Today I found good parking on the first level. This mantra began on the 2nd day of this semester when I was with Elena and we were driving around and for some reason I started saying it and BAM parking spot available for me. BAM birth of mantra. TRY IT.

My Puerto Rican mamacita Yvette taught me how to make guava and cream cheese empanadas. It was super easy and I got all the ingredients to make it myself. One day this past week I decided I will finally do it!

After making them I thought about doing a tutorial video, but it was too late. Maybe next time. But these are are the easy ingredients!

Then since I had all this hot oil I thought about frying some chicken. I put some of my mom's secret seasoning, one egg, and then rolled in the dough and threw it in!

and then I saw this bag of fries in the freezer and threw them in the hot oil and then.....

Everything was delicious! You can even ask Jenny, she tried the chicken!

I will eventually make a fun "How to make Empanadas" video eventually. Heck, I should youtube all spanish foods Yvette teaches me.
