My sister found a cheap west coast to east coast plane ticket and came home for the weekend. Her first Florida request was beach time, but sounded more like "LET'S GO TO THE BEACH!!!!!!!" ...."okay."
Here you can learn about Florida's natural exfoliation system..
Saturday night Set Your Goals were in town playing at the Culture Room. I saw my homie Juan, and he participated in my people section, and is the first one for 2009! Check it out!
After the show Kiersten and I got sanfreeias (Free sangrias).
In My Dashboard 1 was super easy because all those songs came on in 1 day. In My Dashboard 2 was kind of a collage of the weeks songs. The radio is so unpredictable.
This week(+ end) was pleasantly busy with some of my besties.
Janine came in from Orlando for a friendship weekend. On Friday night, there was a goodbye party for our homies in Fallen From The Sky as they left for tour with NFG the following day. I wish them the best of luck and warmth as they are touring in the northern part of the U S of A.
Ari came in from Gainesville for a family weekend. We grubbed on some Filipino delicacies and still can't believe her little brother is growing up so fast.
I watched 3 films this week.
Love Actually compiles different stages of love stories, and the british accents make everything better. Valkyrie was really interesting. I knew Tom Cruise wouldn't kill Hitler, but I was really rooting for him. Lastly, I saw Lars and the Real Girl in Kiersten's DVD collection and was automatically intrigued because of Ryan Gosling. This was a weird movie, but you eventually understand why his character is the way he is, and it turns out to be a cute indie film in the end. oh Ryan Gosling, you dun did it again <3
Aaaaaaand SUPER Lastly, Congratulations to my homies Danny & Uhnet! They got engaged this weekend at Disneyland in front of Cinderella's castle! I am so excited for them! and I love them a lot!!!!!
As if this update wasn't jam packed already, I dedicate this cutie pie Hellogoodbye video to my newly engaged friends.
I saw a commercial with some dude named Woody trying to get 500,000 fans on facebook, and if he achieved this, TGIFridays would give all his fans a free Jack Daniels Burger/Chicken Sandwich. I figured, why not try this ......and the goal was achieved, the coupon was emailed last Friday, and today I got a Jack Daniels Chicken Sandwich! And it was delicious! Kiersten accompanied me on the free lunch trip :)
So my cd player is temporarily out of service. The cd is stuck inside and I have not gone to seek professional help with it yet. Therefore I listen to the radio a lot..and people crap on the radio all the time because they all use their fancy iTrips and apple products to have cool music services /or/ working cd players---instead I have learned to cooperate with the radio. Yes the radio sucks for the majority time, however the minority time does have some jiggy jams...and with this I present a new series I am trying out with catching the good jams while I drive.
I hope you enjoy .... I will probably continue this until someone complains.
The other day I walked into the kitchen to speak to my mom, and in mid-sentence I gasped like I hadn't gasped before....my eyes have seen the red tin of Almond Roca buttercrunch toffee!!!!!!!! I haven't had this delicious delicacy in years. I will say about 5-6 years. My dad used to buy it at Costco around Christmas time back in the high school days, but then he stopped going to costco for a while, and of course it's a seasonal product (at costco). So basically I flipped out and I love it, and I think you should go to Costco and taste this wonderful creation. Or buy it year-round.
I just went to the site and saw that they have Candy Cane Buttercrunch Roca??? OMGG WHAT IS THAAAAT !!!!!!!
So on Friday night, Kiersten and I were watching Lil Wayne's Behind The Music as we were getting ready for Sabine's birthday dinner, and mannnnn what a story! Then last night I got on this crazy wikipedia kick, and was searching everybody that was super cool to me basically in the year 2000. It started with Jay-Z because I was listening to the black album and the song "December 4" came on and his mama was talking about his early days, so I thought let me read the truth(!) that is wikipedia, read his whole life, which then I thought about Missy Elliot, and read about her sad early life, which lead me to Monica, and read about her sad relationships, then Ginuwine, and his sad family deaths, and then Eve and how she was a stripper then Mase said you shouldn't be a stripper, you should pursue rapping ...... and during all of these wiki-sessions I was youtubing all the awesome music videos. Then I realized I spent too much time on wikipedia and turned on the TV and watched Marley & Me on HBO. ughhh worst decision ever. One of the saddest movies of all time.
Lastly, Lego has the coolest business cards!
These mini figures are for executives and special PR people only because they are expensive to make.
Inspired by the wikipedia kick, Throwback video of the day!
I have a test at 4 that I really need to study for...and I will after I post this. I promise.
But I came across this series, and Episode 5 came out today, and it is insanely funny. So here is Episode 1, and with your knowledge of how youtube works, I suggest you watch ALL OF THEM.
I spent the last couple days switching servers (like I've been talking about for months) and switching up a lot of thangy thangs. And I am totes excited and proud of everything.
I completely reformatted the photojournal. There are no more captions, no explanations! The pictures speak for themselves. People & LomoArt sections are slightly different, also theres an addition of videos (or link to my youtube rather).
So take some time to look around, because I love you!
